The names of Jesus_Bilingual

$5.00

This guide is an invitation for families to review the different names of the Lord throughout the bible and to reflect on what each name means. It is also a gentle invitation to memorize those special names in English and in Spanish.

Description

In Old Testament times, the tradition or culture of the people was to call their
children by a name that meant something.
For example, Joshua means “God delivered,” and Peter means “rock.” Parents
wanted to name their children something that had meaning.
In addition to that, The Bible pays particular attention to names. Throughout
Scripture, you discover that names hold significant value and meaning. They tell us
something specific about someone’s character. We see this when God changes the
name of that swindler, Jacob, to Israel (one who contends with God). And in the
New Testament, we see it when Jesus changes Simon’s name to Peter, meaning
“rock.”
Jesus had many different things to do here on earth, so He had many different
names.
